Yoga Padma

New to the Yoga Hut

Are you a student of yoga looking to deepen your understanding of yoga philosophy and how it relates to your life?

Are you struggling with recurrent issues or feeling stuck in any aspect of your life?

Yoga Padma may be for you.

As we know, yoga is not just a physical stretching practice which leaves us feeling energised and relaxed. Yoga is an ancient lifestyle philosophy whose wisdom goes back thousands of years and still holds true today. A regular yoga practice and study of yoga can therefore help us in much deeper ways than just stretching our bodies. In fact, Hatha (the physical practice of yoga) is only one of the 8 limbs of yoga.

Padma means lotus, the beautiful flower which grows out of the mud- in fact it can ONLY grow out of mud. Padma yoga therefore is born out of the idea that when we feel ‘lost in the mud’ in our lives we are actually being offered an opportunity to grow something beautiful and rare.

Yoga Padma sessions are talking sessions. You bring whatever you would like to look at in your life and we work it through over as many sessions as you need with the help of yoga principles and philosophy; gradually integrating the wisdom and knowledge into your life.

As you know, I am a Somatic Therapist, working with trauma. Yoga Padma sessions are not trauma therapy and if you bring trauma I will recommend that you consider exploring the trauma specific work.

However, these sessions are intended to be therapeutic and will help with many of life’s challenges as well as giving you the opportunity to significantly deepen your yoga practice. Before moving into the trauma work my therapy practice began with Yoga Padma 10 years ago and it is dear to my heart.

Sessions are £50 for an hour. Please reach out if you would like to explore this further.
